ABB at DRUPA 2008 in Dusseldorf

2008-04-07

ABB (Hall 16, Stand 16B20) will be taking part at DRUPA, the world’s largest printing trade show, in Düsseldorf from May 29th to June 11th.

ABB will be showing its completely integrated workflow and press automation systems. These provide end-to-end control over the entire newspaper production process and give production managers the information essential to improving profitability. The integration of the overall production management with customer, insert and distribution management systems raises efficiency to new levels.

A central position is taken by MPS Cockpit, ABB’s overall planning, management and tracking system, but the latest versions of ABB’s other systems including: MPS PageManager – for page planning and assembly, MPS PlateWorkflow – for automated plate making, MPS Production – for press management and optimization, and MPS InsertManager – for the optimized handling and fine distribution of inserts, will also be shown in completely integrated form.

ABB will also explain the solutions behind its continuing success in the field of press retrofit. These solutions cover everything from drive replacement and new press controls to the conversion of shafted presses to shaftless and also press reconfiguration.
